From the Dayton area:

When coming from the Dayton, Wright Patterson AFB, Wright Brother’s Aerodrome, Moraine Airport, Green Co. Airport areas make your focus on getting onto Rt. 35 south-east toward Xenia. Take the 35 Bypass around Xenia to the Rt 68 intersection. Turn right on SR 68 toward Wilmington and continue into Wilmington. In the center of Wilmington, watch for the SR 73 signs, turn left and follow SR 73 through town. This will take you sort of past AirBorne Express and on to Hillsboro (~18 miles).  Note the "heads up" below:   Rt 73 access has been moved about 1/2 mile further east, past the big WalMart store and turn right onto Rt 73.   

NOTE: A possible alternative to the above, especially from the Centerville - Miamisburg areas, would be to take Rt.48 south through Centerville to the SR 73 intersection, turn left onto SR 73 and follow it all the way to Hillsboro.

1) You will enter Hillsboro on West Street (also St.Rt. 73).

2) Keep going straight south on West Street to the traffic signal at West & Main streets

3) Cross over Main Street, go one block to the stop sign. This is Walnut Street.

4) Turn left on Walnut and proceed 2 blocks (through one traffic light) to the stop sign at East Street . Turn right at this intersection.

5) You’ll see a traffic light at the bottom of the hill (three blocks) This is the start of St Rt 247.  There are five streets at this light, DO NOT turn, go straight ahead through the light (heading 180º).

6) From that light follow SR 247 straight ahead 1½ miles (CAUTION: do not take a 45º left onto SR 73) . When you cross Rocky Fork Creek, look up to the left and you’ll see a line of pine trees.

7) That’s us!  Watch for white fence "corners", a white sign out by the road and a paved drive.  The drive comes in around a pond and the office is located on the pond end of the house, park at the end of the sidewalk.

8) There is a radio station just over the hill from us. If you miss us, you will see their tower ahead on the right. Turn around & come back.

If you have read this far, there is a "back way" out of Wilmington, around the west side of AirBorne that will take you onto Rt 73 at the Snow Hill Golf Club.  If you are adventurous and want to try some ground cross country driving follow these instructions. This probably is a just a bit shorter and certainly less traffic.

If you are coming south from Xenia on Rt 68, just stay on 68 through town.  If you are coming in from the west (Springboro, Waynesville, etc., on 73, at the center of town turn right (south) on South Street (Rt 68).  Once through the center of Wilmington (courthouse on the left) continue south to the intersection of Rt 134 and 68 (I think it would be the 4th light) at the Stacey's Buffet. (good eatin'!) Turn left on Rt 134.  This will take you past the west side of AirBorne Express (ILN), the National Weather Service, etc.  You will go through one more traffic light, down a little dip into a community called Burtonville (about 9 ¾ houses).  As you come up the hill on Rt 134 south of Burtonville, you will crest a hill rather abruptly and see a crossroads..  Turn LEFT onto FARMERS RD.  It will wind around a little for about five miles and come to a stop sign at Farmers Road and  Rt 350. Turn left onto Rt 350 and in about 3 miles you will again be on Rt 73 at Snow Hill Country Club.  Turn right onto 73 and proceed to Hillsboro.
